SECTION 568.270 CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Section 568.270  Conflict of Interest

a)         In the event that a member of the Commission believes that he or she has a conflict of interest with respect to any matter brought before the Commission or for any other reason, that member shall advise the Commission of the material facts of any transaction in which the member may have an interest or any relationship that the member believes may create a conflict.

b)         If the members of the Commission believe that the situation constitutes a conflict of interest, then the member shall abstain from voting on the issue.  The abstinence from voting by the member shall not alter the requirement that a majority (four votes) is necessary for the Commission to take official action.  The Commission may request an opinion of the Attorney General on the issue if they believe such an opinion is needed.
