Section 1226.410  Inspection of Records at Department Offices

a)         Public records which are not exempt may be inspected at the Department facility where they are maintained, except that records maintained in field offices may be inspected at District highway offices or other convenient locations determined by the Department.  The person making the request will be notified by the Department of the time and place where the records will be available for inspection.  Records may be inspected from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on normal working days.

b)         Documents which the requestor wishes to have copied shall be segregated during the course of the inspection.  Generally, all copying shall be done by Department employees.

c)         An employee of the Department may be present throughout the inspection.  A requestor may be prohibited from bringing bags, brief cases or other containers into the inspection room.
