Section 525.10  Purpose

This Part has been established to govern the taking, possession, transport, and disposition of Protected Species as defined by Section 2.2 of the Wildlife Code [520 ILCS 5/2.2] which are causing damage to property or a risk to human health or safety and the issuance of Nuisance Wildlife Control Permits.  Drainage Districts controlling beavers under authority of the Wildlife Code [520 ILCS 5/2.37] and recipients of Nuisance Animal Removal Permits, Deer Removal Pemits and Deer Population Control Permits are exempt from the provisions of this Part.
