Section 701.50  Orientation

The detainee orientation shall include, but not be limited to:

a)         Information pertaining to rising and retiring, meals, mail procedures, work assignments, telephone privileges, visiting, correspondence, commissary, and medical care.

b)         Rules of conduct.

c)         Disciplinary procedures.

d)         Information regarding work, educational, and vocational training programs, counseling, and all social services.

e)         Procedures for making requests or entering complaints to the jail staff, judiciary, or Department of Corrections personnel.

f)          Special assistance shall be given to illiterate and non-English speaking detainees.
