Section 243.126  Lead

a)         Standard.  The ambient air quality standards for lead and its compounds are 1.5 micrograms per cubic meter, maximum arithmetic mean average over a calendar quarter.

b)         Measurement Method.  For determining conformance with the ambient air quality standards for lead and its compounds, lead and its compounds shall be measured by the atomic absorbtion spectrometry or equivalent method as described in 40 CFR 50 App. G (1982).
