Section 309.262  Design, Operation and Maintenance Criteria

a)         The Agency may adopt criteria for the design, operation, and maintenance of treatment works, pretreatment works, sewers, and wastewater sources.  These criteria shall be revised from time to time to reflect current engineering judgment and advances in the state of the art.  The Board notes that the Agency has adopted or is in the process of adopting "Design Criteria for Pressure Sewage Systems" 35 Ill. Adm. Code 374, "Recommended Standards for Sewage Works" 35 Ill. Adm. Code 370, and "Requirements for Design and Operation Manuals" 35 Ill. Adm. Code 371.

b)         The Agency shall adopt such procedures as are necessary for permit issuance under this Subpart B of Part 309.
