Section 1.130  Appeals of Disciplinary Action or Demotion

a)         A certified employee who has been served with written charges approved by the Director of Central Management Services for removal, discharge, demotion, or suspension for a period of more than 30 days within a twelve-month period, may appeal to the Commission.  Such appeal shall be in writing and filed with the Commission within 15 days of receipt of such approved charges.

b)         Employees whose positions are subject to collective bargaining agreements may appeal disciplinary actions either through the procedure set forth in the agreement or through the Commission but not both.
