Section 420.690 Leave of Absence – Election to Public Office
Employees who are elected to a full-time, paid public office shall, upon request, be granted a leave of absence without pay for so long as they remain an elected public officer and shall be returned to the same or comparable position from which they were on leave providing the request to return is made within thirty (30) calendar days following termination of the elected office.
