Section 426.60  Certification Procedures

a)         In order to obtain approval of the Certificates of Compliance for Reflectors to be used on bicycles, the person requesting the approval shall transmit to the Department of Transportation the following:

1)         One sample of the type (or model) of the reflector described in the Certificate of Compliance.

2)         Two copies of a completed Certificate of Compliance.

3)         A current and valid "Certificate of Equipment Approval" from the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, Washington, D.C. certifying that the reflector complies with the standards provided in this regulation.

b)         Upon receipt of the Certificate of Compliance and Certificate of Equipment Approval sample, the Department of Transportation will approve the Certificate of Compliance and return one approved copy to the person requesting approval.
