Biography: Attorney; born April 19, 1942, in Chicago; University of Notre Dame; Loyola University Law School; House Majority Leader, 80th and 81st General Assemblies; House Minority Leader, 82nd and 89th General Assemblies; Speaker of the House, 83rd, 84th, 85th, 86th, 87th, 88th, 90th, 91st, 92nd, 93rd, 94th, 95th, 96th and 97th General Assemblies.
Madigan and his wife, Shirley, are also the parents of daughter Tiffany, who is married to Jordan Matyas, a daughter Nicole, and a son, Andrew. Lisa and her husband, Pat Byrnes, have blessed them with two granddaughters, Rebecca and Lucy; and Tiffany and Jordan have blessed them with a granddaughter, Eliza.
