| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1465, AS AMENDED, | ||||||
| 3 | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. | ||||||
| 4 | 1, as follows:
| ||||||
| 5 | on page 6, line 1, by replacing "and" with "or"; and | ||||||
| 6 | on page 6, immediately below line 14, by inserting the | ||||||
| 7 | following: | ||||||
| 8 | "(3.5) Possession of a firearm for the limited purpose of | ||||||
| 9 | training for or participation in a sanctioned competitive | ||||||
| 10 | shooting event supervised by a certified firearms instructor, | ||||||
| 11 | if, while traveling to or from the location the firearm is | ||||||
| 12 | broken down in a non-functioning state, is not immediately | ||||||
| 13 | accessible, or is unloaded and enclosed in a firearm case, | ||||||
| 14 | carrying box, shipping box, or other similar portable container | ||||||
| 15 | designed for the safe transportation of firearms. In this | ||||||
| 16 | paragraph (3.5), "sanctioned competitive shooting event" has | ||||||

| 1 | the same meaning ascribed to the term in Section 1.1 of the | ||||||
| 2 | Firearm Owners Identification Card Act.".
