Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that persons licensed to possess a concealed firearm under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act and current or retired police officers authorized by law to possess a concealed firearm shall be exempt from provisions of the Code prohibiting possession of those firearms.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section |
5 | | 3.4b as follows: |
6 | | (520 ILCS 5/3.4b new) |
7 | | Sec. 3.4b. Exemption. Persons licensed to possess a |
8 | | concealed firearm under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act and |
9 | | current or retired police officers authorized by law to possess |
10 | | a concealed firearm shall be exempt from provisions of this |
11 | | Code prohibiting possession of those firearms. However, |
12 | | nothing in this Section authorizes the use of those firearms |
13 | | except as authorized in the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, this |
14 | | Code, or other law.
