HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Gerald
4Lee "Jerry" Crabb of Harrisburg, who passed away on January 18,
52017; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Gerald Crabb was born in Maud, Oklahoma to Odus
7and Juanita Collins Crabb on June 24, 1938; he married Carol
8Ann Crawford in Vandalia on December 8, 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gerald Crabb was a longtime owner and partner of
10Crabb & Crawford Accountants of Eldorado; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Gerald Crabb enjoyed playing golf, traveling,
12watching his grandkids and great-grandkids play sports, and
13spending time with his family and friends; he was a member of
14Harrisburg First United Methodist Church, where he served as a
15Sunday school teacher and a former youth leader and
16participated on many committees; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Gerald Crabb was preceded in death by his parents;
18an infant brother; his sister, Bobbie Daugherty; his
19brother-in-law and business partner, Carl Crawford; and his
20brothers-in-law, Bob Koons, and Dean Crawford; and

1    WHEREAS, Gerald Crabb is survived by his wife of 61 years,
2Carol; his daughters, Mary (Mike) Reed, Martha (Rocky) James,
3and LeAnn (Doug) Miller; his son, John (Amanda) Crabb; his
4grandchildren, Julie (Davy) Martin, Lucas (Laurin) Reed,
5Daniel Reed, Laura (Eric) Westbrook, Isabel Crabb, Isaac Crabb,
6Ian Crabb, Scott (Lisa) Reed, and Nikki (Graham) Andrews; his
7great-grandchildren, Jack and Sam Martin, Kendall Reed, and
8Ethan and Carter Reed; his sister, Kathy (Gary) Smith; his
9brother-in-law, Jack Daugherty; his sisters-in-law, Cindy
10Crawford, Nellie Koons, and Jean Crawford; and several nieces
11and nephews, best friends, and special neighbors; therefore, be
12it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
14HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15mourn the passing of Gerald Lee "Jerry" Crabb, and extend our
16sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
17and loved him; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Gerald Crabb as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
