SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Phillip Anthony Harrell Sr. who passed
4away on January 12, 2017 at the age of 44; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. was born to Jerry and Francine
6Harrell on December 2, 1972; he graduated from St. Thomas
7Aquinas Elementary School; he earned his GED after attending
8John Marshall Metropolitan High School and married Latasha
9Turner in 2006; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. worked for a while with his
11father at the Department of Employment Security; he was later
12employed by ILLING Company, Inc. in Sikeston, Missouri as a
13forklift driver; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. enjoyed playing tennis and
15basketball; and he loved to eat; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. is survived by his wife,
17Latasha; his sons, Phillip A. Harrell Jr. and Zaylen; his
18parents, Jerry S. and Francine E. Harrell; his sister, Marshon
19D. (Chuck) Washington; his brothers, Jerry S. Harrell Jr.
20(Connie) and Rev. John F. Harrell (Rahshedah); his eight
21nieces, seven nephews, and a host of cousins, uncles, aunts,

1and other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Phillip Anthony
5Harrell Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
6friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Phillip Harrell Sr. as an expression
9of our deepest sympathy.
