SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Henry "Hank" J. DeBoer of Marengo, who
4passed away on January 13, 2017 at the age of 76; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Henry DeBoer was born in Chicago to Henry and
6Martha (Hoving) DeBoer on March 29, 1940; he married Christine
7Olsen in Berwyn on December 5, 1964; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Henry DeBoer was a veteran of the United States
9Army; he was the proprietor of Marengo Disposal Company from
101967 to 1999; he was the past president and founding member of
11the Marengo-Union Chamber of Commerce, and a past member of the
12McHenry County Board; he was the past director of the McHenry
13County Economic Development Commission, a past board member of
14Marengo Elementary School District 165, a past Marengo-Union
15Little League coach, and a past member of the Marengo Economic
16Development Commission; he was a former elder at Delavan
17Christian Reformed Church, and a member of the Marengo Lions
18Club; he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago
19Bears; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Henry DeBoer was preceded in death by his parents;
21three sisters, Marie DeBoer, Catherine (Gerald) Geers, and
22Catherine DeBoer; and a brother, Albert DeBoer; and

1    WHEREAS, Henry DeBoer is survived by his wife, Christine;
2his sons, Erik (Nikki) DeBoer, and Randy (Chrissy) DeBoer; his
3grandchildren, Ethan, Keenan, Riley, Jack, and Abby; a sister,
4Marcia (John) Evenhouse; a sister-in-law, Delora DeBoer; and
5many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Henry J. DeBoer, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Henry DeBoer as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
