SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Anne J. "Joan" (McKeon) Vollmer of
4Joliet, who passed away on January 8, 2017 at the age of 85;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Anne Vollmer was born in Joliet to William D. and
7Anna (Legan) McKeon on August 20, 1931; she remained a lifelong
8Joliet resident; she worked for Lieberman Jewelry as a clerk
9and purchaser for 31 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Anne Vollmer was a member of the Church of St.
11Jude; she was a loving, loyal, and devoted wife; she was an
12extremely nurturing and doting mother and grandmother; her
13character was that of kindness and peace; she was the quiet
14strength that kept the family together; she always remained
15loyal to the LaVerne and Dottie Brown family; she deeply loved
16and cherished her sisters and all of their extended families;
17she will be truly missed by all of her family and friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Anne Vollmer was preceded in death by her first
19husband, Wayne Brown; her second husband, LaVerne J. Vollmer;
20and her parents; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Anne Vollmer is survived by her four children,

1James J. (Emi) Brown, Michael P. (Jeannine) Vollmer, Susan
2(John) Reed, and Sharon (Jack) Tweedle; six grandchildren,
3Kelly and Eric Brown, Jeffrey (Allyn) and Michelle (Rob Pazely)
4Reed, Jamie Tweedle (Rob) Koncar, and Beckie Tweedle; her
5great-grandson, Jack; her sisters, Pauline (the late John)
6Pucel and Rosylee (Jerry) Menozzi; and numerous nieces and
7nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Anne J. Vollmer, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Anne J. Vollmer as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
