SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Luke Andrew Johnsos, who passed away on
4March 5, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Luke Johnsos was born on March 10, 1941; he
6graduated from Michigan State University in 1964; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Luke Johnsos established Business
8Graphics/Woodstock Dietary Systems in 1981 and ran the business
9with his wife until his retirement in 2015; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Luke Johnsos held positions on the Deerfield
11School Board, the McHenry County Restaurant Association, the
12Illinois Restaurant Association, the Rural Woodstock Public
13Library Board, and many District 200 referendum committees; he
14was President of the District 200 Backers Club for two years;
15he was on the Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, where served
16as President in 1995; he also sat on the Board of Governors of
17Centegra Health System for over 20 years, where he was Chairman
18from 2000 to 2002; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Luke Johnsos served many years as an usher at
20Saint Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock; and

1    WHEREAS, Luke Johnsos enjoyed playing golf and rooting for
2the Chicago Bears and the Michigan State University Spartans;
3and
 
4    WHEREAS, Luke Johnsos is survived by his wife of 50 years,
5Judy Corey Johnsos; his children, Luke Andrew Johnsos III,
6Peter (Charlene) Johnsos, Anne (Clark) Richter, and Katie
7(Kimo) Sanderson; his grandchildren, Jack and Ellie Sanderson,
8Sofia and Hannah Richter, and Zeke and Josh Johnsos; his
9sisters, Judy (John) Wohlford, Janet Trafelet, Barbara (Brian)
10Kocher, and Ann (Bob) Steffes; and many nieces and nephews;
11therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Luke Andrew Johnsos, and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Luke Johnsos as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
