SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bette J. Brown of Woodstock, who passed
4away on March 11, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bette Brown was born in Belvidere to Clifford and
6Helen (Pease) Stock on July 22, 1940; she married Ronald H.
7Brown in Woodstock on October 1, 1960; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Bette Brown was employed for many years at the
9State Bank of Woodstock; she was a member of St. John's
10Lutheran Church in Woodstock and volunteered with Meals on
11Wheels and the Clothing Closet; she enjoyed cross stitching,
12reading, and going to her children and her grandchildren's
13special events; she was loved and will be missed; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bette Brown was preceded in death by her parents;
15her husband; her sisters, Carol Lipinsky and Judy Bradkowski;
16and her brothers, Chuck and Rick Stock; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bette Brown is survived by her sons, Kevin
18(Marybeth) Brown and Kurt (Heather) Brown; her daughter, Deann
19(Patrick) Ryan; her grandchildren, Nora, Colleen, Joe, and
20Michael Brown, and Liz and Alexander Ryan; and many nieces and
21nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Bette J. Brown, and extend our sincere condolences to her
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Bette Brown as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
