SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Allan Frederick Etheridge of Marengo, who
4passed away on April 22, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Allan Etheridge was born in Ullin to Frederick and
6Faye (Allen) Etheridge on February 23, 1938; he served in the
7United States Army as a combat engineer from 1962 to 1964; he
8married Marilyn J. Fuchs at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic
9Church in Johnsburg on June 12, 1965; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Allan Etheridge was employed for over 30 years at
11the Eaton Corporation (formerly Singer) in Crystal Lake; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Allan Etheridge enjoyed doing outdoor maintenance
13projects around his home; he was a history buff and enjoyed
14watching movies or television shows having to do with history;
15he was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church
16in Johnsburg and St. Mary Church in McHenry; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Allan Etheridge and his wife were residents of the
18McHenry/Johnsburg area for 51 years; they moved to Marengo to
19be closer to their daughter; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Allan Etheridge is survived by his wife of nearly

152 years, Marilyn; his children, Mark (Julie) Etheridge,
2William (Wendy) Etheridge, and Mary Ellen (John) Fitch; his
3grandchildren, Kristi, Brandon, Courtney, Sydney, and Skylar
4Etheridge, Madeline and Nicole Fitch, and J.T. Etheridge; his
5father, Frederick Etheridge; his brother, Stanley (Shiela)
6Etheridge; his sister, Paula Etheridge; and his
7brother-in-law, Tom Fuchs; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Allan Frederick Etheridge, and extend our sincere condolences
11to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Allan Etheridge as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
