SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Theodore G. Porter of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on July 25, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was born in West Des Moines, Iowa
6to Raymond and Nellie (Hartshorn) Porter on July 28, 1940; he
7served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Drake
8University; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was a successful business owner,
10with his own CPA firm in the Schaumburg area; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was a wonderful husband, father,
12"papa", brother, and uncle; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Theodore Porter enjoyed driving his tractor,
14gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and was a collector of
15many things; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Theodore Porter was preceded in death by his
17parents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Theodore Porter is survived by his wife of 52
19years, Melanie (Zittnan) Porter; his daughters, Alicia

1(Timothy) Driver and Stacey (Joshua Weems) Porter; his
2grandchildren, Alexandria Porter and Helaina and Jacob Driver;
3his siblings, Jack (Martha Green) Porter and Ellen (Kurt)
4Stumpf; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Theodore G. Porter, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Theodore Porter as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
