SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert Elroy Jensen of McHenry, who
4passed away on August 17, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was born in Des Plaines to James and
6Gertrude Jensen on November 7, 1941; he married the love of his
7life, Debra, on December 6, 1991; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was a Veteran of the United States
9Army and was honorably discharged; he was employed by Groen
10Manufacturing Company for 48 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was a founding member of Willow
12Creek Church; he was very involved in the church and often
13mentored young men as they navigated life's ups and downs; he
14was a longtime Alcoholics Anonymous member and was proudly
15sober for 35 years; he loved bikes and once rode up to Mackinac
16Island; he had a tender heart and always put the needs of
17others before his own; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was preceded in death by his
19parents; and his siblings, Betty, James, Delores, and Sharon;

1    WHEREAS, Robert Jensen is survived by his loving wife,
2Debra; his children, Robert (Susan) Jensen, Daniel (Debbie)
3Jensen, Elaine (Lee) Williams, Charlee Godfrey, and James Ellis
4II; his grandchildren, Bradly, Lexi, Kolbee, Zechariah, Zoe,
5Kevin, Hailey, Dylan, Abby, Gracie, James, Sarah, Danielle, and
6Robert; his siblings, Marie (Bob) Wagner, Raymond Jensen,
7Richard (Martha) Jensen, and Leslie (Virginia) Jensen;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Robert Elroy Jensen, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Robert Jensen as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
