SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard C. Mankowski of Harvard, who
4passed away on September 11, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Mankowski was born in Chicago to Marion
6and Steven Mankowski on May 16, 1936; he served in the United
7States Air Force; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Mankowski was a member of St. Joseph
9Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus, where
10he was the financial secretary for many years; he was in charge
11of St. Joseph's Bingo in Harvard, along with his friend Charlie
12Calvin; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Richard Mankowski was a loyal Chicago Cubs,
14Chicago Bears, and Chicago Blackhawks fan; he loved to travel
15and was always ready to pack his bags; he especially loved
16going to Mesa, Arizona in March to watch the spring training of
17the Cubs and vacationing in Scottsdale, Arizona; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Richard Mankowski is survived by his wife of 56
19years, Charlotte; his daughters, Jacklyn Mankowski and Laurie
20(Chris) Stanley; his grandchildren, Maranda, Jacob, and Mason;
21and his brothers, Danny (Judy) Mankowski and David (Nancy)

1Mankowski; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Richard C. Mankowski, and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Richard Mankowski as an expression
9of our deepest sympathy.
