SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jeannine S. Triebel of Peoria, who passed
4away on July 1, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel was born in Decatur to Rodney E.
6and Marjorie (Wilkinson) Spangler on August 8, 1929; she
7graduated from DePauw University in 1951, where she was a
8member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority; she married Russell
9Field Triebel in Decatur on May 31, 1952; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel taught elementary school in El
11Paso, Texas for two years while her husband served in the
12United States Army at Fort Bliss; after her children left for
13college, she enjoyed working at the Junction City Book Shop;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel was active in the Peoria
16community; she served on the board of directors for the YWCA
17and the Children's Home Association of Illinois; she was a
18member of the Junior League of Peoria for many years, where she
19was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 1970; she was an
20active, longtime member of First Federated Church in Peoria,
21where her son served as the associate minister for eight years;
22she enjoyed tennis, golf, dinner parties, and bridge with her

1friends and family; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel was preceded in death by her son,
3Thomas Field Triebel; her sister, Sandra Spangler Gannett; and
4her parents; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeannine Triebel is survived by her daughter,
6Deborah Field Triebel; her brother, Rodney (Becky) Spangler;
7her daughter-in-law, Karen (John) Calder; her granddaughters,
8Megan (Michael) Stoll, Melissa (James) Bello, and Margaret
9Triebel; and her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Jack and Oliver
10Stoll, and Dominic and Elise Bello; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Jeannine S. Triebel, and extend our sincere condolences to her
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Jeannine Triebel as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
