SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Barbara A. Bellman of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on November 4, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Barb Bellman was born in Chicago to Donald and
6Eleanor (Pipcius) Erbes on January 21, 1953; she earned a
7Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois
8University; she married William Bellman in Kankakee on April
912, 1975; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Barb Bellman spent the first years of her career
11as a surgical nurse, then as an at-home mother; she finished
12her professional career as a substitute teacher in the Crystal
13Lake District 47 schools and retired in 2011; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Barb Bellman and her husband had a passion for
15traveling, and she enjoyed her annual trips to Mackinac Island;
16she was talented and excelled at arts and crafts, including
17ceramics, painting, and cross stitching; she delighted in
18personalizing her cross stitching as gifts for others for
19birthdays and holidays; she enjoyed playing bingo, bike riding,
20bowling, shopping, and watching HGTV; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Barb Bellman was preceded in death by her father;

1and her mother-in-law, Betty Bellman; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Barb Bellman is survived by her loving husband,
3William; her son Brian Bellman; her daughter, Breanna (Jason)
4Pogorzelski; her grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, and Nolan
5Pogorzelski; her mother; her brother, David Erbes, her sister,
6Karen (Jim) Wagner; her father-in-law, William Bellman; her
7sister-in-law, Becky Bellman; her brother-in-law, Russell
8(Kari) Bellman; and her many friends and relatives; therefore,
9be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Barbara A. Bellman and extend our sincere condolences to her
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Barb Bellman as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
