SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cheryl Ann Gould of Woodstock, who passed
4away on November 27, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gould was born to Jack and Ernestine
6Holloway on June 7, 1946; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gould worked alongside her husband for
8nearly 50 years at Lloyd's Paint; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gould and her husband retired on the same
10day and enjoyed caring for their home and restoring a barn,
11Hickory Hill; she also enjoyed quilting, traveling to Lake
12Geneva, New Orleans, Florida, and as far as the Tahitian
13Islands; she was affectionately known as "Bombi" and was
14revered for her Sunday dinners and the ability to solve any
15problem whether it was hemming pants or just lending an ear;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gould was preceded in death by her parents
18and her sister, Tina Longnecker; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gould is survived by her husband of 51
20years, Dan; her daughters, Tamara Gould-Buss, Laura (Matt)

1Gould-Colangelo, and Katie (Dan Hart) Day; her grandchildren,
2Walter, Nathaniel, Graham, Margaret, Jacob, Kelsey, Daniel,
3Zoie, Lola, and Maddie; her great-grandchildren, Makenzie and
4Harper; her brother, Chuck (Sissy) Holloway; Cindy (Mugs) Funk;
5and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Cheryl Ann Gould, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Cheryl Gould as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
