SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Roger Allan Whiting of Woodstock, who
4passed away on April 18, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Roger Whiting was born in Woodstock to Roger A.
6Sr. and Wanda (Chin) Whiting on May 4, 1933; he served in the
7U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956 and married Yvonne A. Cox in
8McHenry on November 25, 1965; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Roger Whiting worked at Union Special in Huntley,
10where he was employed his entire career; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Roger Whiting loved bowling, gardening, games,
12and family pizza parties where he was the pizza maker; he
13enjoyed traveling and introduced his family to many adventures,
14including Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty,
15the Smithsonian, and the beaches of Florida; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Roger Whiting was preceded in death by his
17parents; his wife, Yvonne; his sister, Lorraine Russell; and
18his grandson, Andrew; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Roger Whiting is survived by his children, Lucy
20(Fred) Krchak, Kathy (Al) Wille, Jan (Dan) Terilkowski, Joseph

1(Maureen) Whiting, Michele (Jason) Urquhart, Misty Whiting,
2and Roger Whiting III; his grandchildren, Amy, Katie, Courtney,
3Sarah, Michael, Chad, Haley, Jade, Allison, and Aubin; his
4great-grandchildren, Noah, Landon, Ryker, Amelia, Steven,
5Kaia, Imagine, Dominick, and Nolan; his brother, Duane Whiting;
6and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Roger Allan Whiting, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Roger Whiting as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
