SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Tyler A. Lumar, who passed away on April
418, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar, affectionately known as "Lumar
6Lumar," was born in Oak Park to Lisa Alcorn and Wilber Lumar
7Jr. on February 13, 1994; he attended Allen Elementary School
8in Aurora, where he excelled in signing and acting in school
9plays and later became class president; he then attended
10Cowherd Junior High School, where he was an honor roll student
11and excelled in math; he graduated from Oak Park River Forest
12on June 10, 2012, where he was a member of the football team;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar committed to his faith at Family Faith
15Church in Aurora; he also attended Judson Baptist Church in Oak
16Park, where he participated in many youth programs; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar enjoyed cooking for his family and
18friends, playing the piano, writing rap music, and
19impersonating Michael Jackson at family gatherings; he was a
20caring, devoted, and loving father and a warm-hearted young man
21who dearly loved his family and friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar was preceded in death by his
2grandfathers, John Alcorn Sr. and Wilber Lumar Sr.; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar is survived by his parents; his
4daughter, Savannah Marie Lumar; his soulmate, Casey Tencate;
5his sisters, Paige, Morgane, and Cydni; his grandparents, Linda
6and David Augustus and Lydia Lumar; his aunts, Rhonda (Harold)
7Alcorn-Johnson, Samantha (Fred) Lumar-Turner, and Anna (Ron)
8Lumar-Williams; his uncles, Denise Alcorn, John (Felicia)
9Alcorn Jr., Darren (Joanna) Lumar, and Ratiford Lumar; his
10godmother, Rosemary Malone; his extended Tencate family,
11Casey's father, Phil (Lidia), Casey's mother, Therese, Emma,
12Taylor (Patrick), and Caitlin (Kyle) Bias; and his many
13great-aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Tyler A. Lumar and extend our sincere condolences to his
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Tyler Lumar as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
