SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Yolanda Saddler Blackmon, who passed away
4on May 17, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Yolanda Blackmon was born in Chicago to The
6Reverend John and Edwina Saddler on October 14, 1963; she
7committed to her faith at an early age; she graduated from
8Farragut High School; she married Jesse Blackmon in 1999; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Yolanda Blackmon worked for various companies,
10but her passion was caring for others and being a homemaker;
11she was a staunch supporter of Mothers Opposed to Violence
12Everywhere; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Yolanda Blackmon enjoyed singing, dancing, and
14cooking; she always made a fashionable appearance wherever she
15went; she loved her friends and spent time with them whenever
16she could; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Yolanda Blackmon was preceded in death by her
18grandparents; her parents; her brothers, Glenn, Darryl, and
19Melvin; her sister, Cheryl; and her nephew, Keilardro; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Yolanda Blackmon is survived by her husband,

1Jesse; her daughters, Giovanna and Darrylan Saddler; her son,
2Armani Saddler; her brothers, Craig Saddler and Derrick (Karen)
3Saddler; her sisters, Martice Davis, Marlene Davis, and LaGena
4(Cornelius) Dillon; her granddaughters, Janae Cooper and
5Keiana Clark-Lewis; her special friends, George Person, Kimmy,
6Laurita, and Marilyn; her special cousins, Cheryl, Lynn, and
7LaSunya; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and
8cousins; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Yolanda Saddler Blackmon and extend our sincere condolences to
12her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Yolanda Blackmon as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
