SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Ebrecht of Granite
4City, who passed away on May 3, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Ebrecht was born in Lafayette, Indiana to
6Vernon Keith and Louise Francis (King) Orr on July 21, 1930;
7she married Robert Charles Ebrecht in Granite City on July 1,
81948; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Betty Ebrecht retired from Kraft Foods in Granite
10City after many years of dedicated service; after retirement,
11she worked at Central Hardware, the Beelman Truck Company, and
12the Central Christian Church in Granite City; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Betty Ebrecht was a member of the Central
14Christian Church; she was also a member of Eastern Star, Job's
15Daughters, DeMolays, Rebekah Lodge, and the Order of the Odd
16Fellows; she loved life, laughter, and her family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Betty Ebrecht was preceded in death by her
18parents; her husband, Robert; her daughter, Roberta A. Petras;
19her son, Steven R. Ebrecht; and her siblings, Jack Orr, Dick
20Orr, Don Orr, and June Jones; and

1    WHEREAS, Betty Ebrecht is survived by her children, Karen
2L. Ray, Karl W. Ebrecht, David E. Ebrecht, and Seth "Tom"
3Ebrecht; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven
4great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended
5family, and friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Ebrecht, and extend our sincere
9condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10her; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Betty Ebrecht as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
