HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Emma M.
4Cannon of Peoria, who passed away on September 19, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Emma Cannon born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to
6John and Amanda "Emma" (Dunlop) Brereton on April 27, 1930; she
7married William Cannon in Peoria on June 19, 1948; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Emma Cannon was a longtime member of Holy Family
9Catholic Church; she was in the women's study group at Holy
10Family for over 45 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Emma Cannon was preceded in death by her husband,
12William, and her siblings, Marian Carbaugh and James Brereton;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Emma Cannon is survived by her children, Laurie
15Covington, William (Marcia) Cannon, Greg (Christy) Cannon, and
16Terry (Beth) Renard; her grandchildren, Megan (Justin) Pierce,
17Scott (Courtney) Cannon, Ryan (Jeremy Miller) Cannon, Matt,
18Bryce, and Drew Cannon, Erica (Jason) Scheuman, and Kerry
19(Jerry) Richard; her step-grandson, Brett (Anna) Wieser; and 10
20great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3we mourn the passing of Emma M. Cannon and extend our sincere
4condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
5her; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Emma Cannon as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
