SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John F. "Jack" Arbuckle Jr. of Peoria,
4who passed away on January 8, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was born in Peoria to Florence
6(Netter) and John F. Arbuckle Sr. on January 16, 1938; later in
7life, he graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor's
8degree in economics; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. worked as a lending officer at
10Commercial National Bank (PNC Bank) and retired as vice
11president after over 25 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was active with the Creve Coeur
13Club, the Kiwanis Club, the Ivy Club, the Peoria Public School
14Board and the Crittenton Care Centers; he was an avid reader
15and had a true passion for sports cars, especially Corvettes;
16he will be remembered as a loving husband and a great father;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was preceded in death by his
19parents and his first cousin, JaNan Williams; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. is survived by his wife, Janet;

1his daughters, Elana L. Arbuckle-Alexander and Andrea (Bryan
2L.) Parker; his grandchildren, Stephen Michael Alexander,
3Landon A. (Melanie) Parker, and Brittany E. Parker; therefore,

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7John F. "Jack" Arbuckle Jr. and extend our sincere condolences
8to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Jack Arbuckle as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
