SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles Arlie Peterson of Milan, who
4passed away on January 27, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was born in Scotland County,
6Missouri to Charles Henry and Drucilla Price Peterson on
7November 11, 1933; he served in the U.S. Army and married Doris
8Irene Pinson in Missouri on June 15, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson worked as a general mechanic for
10Alcoa for 36 years, retiring in 2000; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was a member of the Edgewood
12Baptist Church in Rock Island; he enjoyed gardening, splitting
13wood, and being a father to his two sons, whom he taught to
14hunt; he also enjoyed taking the family on fishing vacations;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was preceded in death by his wife,
17Doris, and his parents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson is survived by his sons, Dave
19(Cindy) and Albert (Sandi) Peterson; his grandchildren, Kelly,
20Kristin, Mary Ann, Mindy, Craig, and Ashley; his

1great-grandchildren, Cammie, Makenna, Owen, Wilhelmina, Rex,
2Lana, Sophia, Henry, Hannah, Natalie, Grant, Ellie, Cael,
3Trenton, and Teirnin; and his brothers, Robert (Billie), Larry,
4and Kenny (Sharon) Peterson; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Charles Arlie Peterson and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Arlie Peterson as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
