SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronald Griffin of Milan, who passed away
4on August 14, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin was born in Moline to Elmer and
6Constance (Miles) Griffin on August 18, 1941; he married
7Claudia Betcher in Rock Island on June 6, 1964; he served in
8the U.S. Army; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin worked as a forms analyst at Deere &
10 Company until his retirement; he later owned his own business
11that provided forms to local businesses; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin was known for his positivity and
13his witty sense of humor that brought joy to those who knew
14him; he enjoyed drawing, teaching, mentoring, working on cars,
15WWII aircraft, reading, fishing, and Scouting; he will be
16remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin is survived by his wife, Claudia;
18his children, Christine (Randall) DeVoss and Marc (Dana)
19Griffin; his grandchildren, Seth Lubben, Sara (Adam) Bebernes,
20and Sydney Griffin; his great-grandchild, Harley Marie
21Bebernes; and his brother, David (Rita) Griffin; therefore, be

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Ronald Griffin and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Ronald Griffin as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
