SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stephen "Steve" B. Reeter of Bloomington,
4who passed away on September 3, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steve Reeter was born to Bruce E. and Ellen M.
6Killian Reeter in Bloomington on November 26, 1954; he
7graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1972 and earned
8a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University; he
9married Karen Lynn Bradley in Decatur on September 15, 1979;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Steve Reeter served as a police officer with the
12Bloomington Police Department; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Steve Reeter loved his family and was a man of
14strong faith; he was known for his sense of humor, his love of
15practical jokes, and his many collections ranging from fossils
16to flashlights; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Steve Reeter was preceded in death by his father;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Stephen Reeter is survived by his wife; his three
20children, Katie Reeter, Kristie (Kyle) Kattelman, and Mick

1Reeter; his granddaughter, Sandra Kattelman; his mother, Ellen
2Reeter; his six siblings, Theresa Reeter, Dave (Amy) Reeter,
3Rich (Katie) Reeter, Bernadette (Bob) Meiner, Paul (Lesley)
4Reeter, and Maria Reeter; and his many nieces and nephews;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Stephen "Steve" B. Reeter and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Steve Reeter as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
