SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $100,000,000 from the State Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board for grants to local police departments and county sheriffs’ offices to be used for police training, equipment, facility improvements, and personnel costs.  Effective July 1, 2022.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The sum of $100,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the State Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board for grants to local police departments and county sheriffs’ offices to be used for police training, equipment, facility improvements, and personnel costs.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2022.
