SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Samuel Ryan Hackler of Pana, who
4passed away on March 31, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Samuel Hackler was born in Decatur to Rich and Jo
6(Beyers) Gibson on December 15, 2009; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Samuel Hackler was a member of St. Patrick's
8Catholic Church and a 7th grader at Sacred Heart Catholic
9School; he was active in many sports, including Sacred Heart's
10basketball team, the Pana Junior Football League, and Pana
11Junior High baseball, track, and soccer; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Samuel Hackler enjoyed golfing, fishing, and
13hunting and earned his black belt in karate; he was a jokester;
14he was very ambitious, loved trying new things, and was always
15willing to work, especially with his grandpa and uncles; he
16never knew a stranger and was always happy and loved life to
17the fullest; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Samuel Hackler was preceded in death by his
19grandfather, Walter Gibson; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Samuel Hackler is survived by his parents; his

1siblings, Emily (Steve) Binderup, Madolyn Hackler, Drew
2Hackler, and Delaney Hackler; his grandparents, Mike and Linda
3Beyers and Janet Gibson; his great-grandparents, Don and Pat
4Beyers; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be
5it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Samuel Ryan Hackler and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Samuel Hackler as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
