SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Carl Krahl, who passed away on
4September 22, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carl Krahl was born to Henry A. and Bernice M.
6Lemon Krahl in Moline on December 22, 1947; he graduated from
7Sherrard High School; he served as a corporal in the U.S.
8Marine Corps Reserve; he married Rebecca Keating on June 3,
91967; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Carl Krahl owned and operated Casco Design
11Management, which started as a construction company and then
12later focused on trucking; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Carl Krahl enjoyed boating, traveling, riding his
14Harley, and eating breakfast every morning at the Welcome Inn
15with his friends; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Carl Krahl will be remembered for his adventurous
17spirit and his dedication to family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Carl Krahl was preceded in death by his parents;
19his infant twins, Shane and Shawn; his brother, Rod Krahl; and
20his son-in-law, Joe Zimmerman; and

1    WHEREAS, Carl Krahl is survived by his children, John
2Krahl, Julie (Dave) Pelloux, and Jenny (Donovan) DiLorenzo;
3five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his siblings,
4Peggy Edwards, Ron Krahl, and Doug (Tresa) Krahl; and a
5special friend; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Carl Krahl and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
9friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Carl Krahl as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
