SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Marvin D. Reddick of Aledo, who passed
4away on November 27, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marvin Reddick was born to George C. and Rebecca
6(Schaefer) Reddick in Columbus Junction, Iowa on August 14,
71936; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Florence Cooper
8Bewley on June 11, 1988, and she preceded him in death on May
94, 2020; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Marvin Reddick worked for Case IH for over 27
11years while also farming; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Marvin Reddick was a past member of the Community
13Bible Church and a current member of the First Baptist Church
14at the time of his passing; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Marvin Reddick and his wife, Florence, enjoyed
16wintering in Southern Charms, Florida and spending time with
17their grandchildren in retirement; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Marvin Reddick was preceded in death by his
19parents; his son, Keith; his granddaughter, Krysten; and his
20siblings, Marcela Reddick, Betsy Asher, and Rodney, Darryl,

1Hilton, Eldon, Clyle, and Harlan Reddick; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Marvin Reddick is survived by his children,
3Melissa Espinoza, Manda Reddick, and Bill and Jenny Reddick;
4his stepchildren, Jeff and Debbi Bewley and Jim Bewley; his
5grandchildren, Anthony and Tiffany Gonzales, Cheyenne and Joe
6Hatch, Gaston Gonzalez, Diana Espinoza, Brandon (fiancée,
7Katie) Reddick, Jon and Amanda Reddick, Logan and Onna
8Reddick, Cameron and Callie Reddick, and Jennifer, Jessica,
9and Jasmine Reddick; his step-grandchildren, Jesse Bewley,
10Michael and Becca Bewley, Melissa Mitchell, Jake Bewley, and
11Maggie Bewley; 15 great-grandchildren; and six
12step-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Marvin D. Reddick and extend our sincere condolences to his
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Marvin Reddick as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
