HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives learned with sadness of the death of Debbie R.
4 Milarski on January 14, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Debbie Milarski was born on March 30, 1956, to Ted
6 and Grace Scanlon, in Wheeling; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Debbie attended Wheeling High School, where she
8 met her soulmate Wayne R. Milarski, with whom she shared 28
9 years of married life; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Debbie was the loving mother of Derek, Jamie, and
11 Jennifer; and beloved sister of Sally Kowal, Penny Swift,
12 Regina Weber, David Scanlon, and Paul Scanlon; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Debbie will be remembered for her enthusiastic
14 commitment to her community of Vernon Hills, especially through
15 her contribution as the long standing entertainment director
16 for the Vernon Hills Annual Summer Celebration; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Debbie was actively involved in her children's
18 schools: raising funds for stadium lights at Libertyville High
19 School, where her son Derek played football for the Wildcats;
20 and at Vernon Hills High School, where her daughter Jamie was a

1 gymnast, and her daughter Jenni played water polo; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Debbie was known for her love of sports, and was a
3 life long fan of the Chicago Cubs and an avid supporter of her
4 nieces and nephews' athletic events; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Debbie's love of the true spirit of Christmas
6 inspired her brothers and sisters to join her in anonymously
7 sponsoring the celebration of the holiday for a less fortunate
8 family; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Debbie was a valued employee and a treasured
10 co-worker of the Jewel Osco store in Mundelein; therefore, be
11 it
 
12     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
14 mourn the passing of Debbie Milarski, and extend our sincerest
15 condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it
16 further
 
17     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
19 sympathy.
