SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $13,780,082, or so much thereof as may be necessary, from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Agriculture for payment into the Thoroughbred and Standardbred Horse Racing Purse Accounts at Illinois Pari-mutuel Tracks. Provides that the amount paid to each account shall be the amount certified by the Illinois Racing Board in January 2009 to be transferred from each account to each eligible racing facility. Effective July 1, 2009.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $13,780,082, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Agriculture for payment into the Thoroughbred and Standardbred Horse Racing Purse Accounts at Illinois Pari-mutuel Tracks. The amount paid to each account shall be the amount certified by the Illinois Racing Board in January 2009 to be transferred from each account to each eligible racing facility.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July 1, 2009.
