    Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning powers transferred to the Department.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic
5 Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by changing Section 605-115 as follows:
 
7     (20 ILCS 605/605-115)  (was 20 ILCS 605/46.36)
8     Sec. 605-115. Transfer from State Housing Board and and
9 Department of Business and Economic Development. In addition to
10 the duties and powers imposed elsewhere in the Civil
11 Administrative Code of Illinois, the Department has the
12 following powers:
13         (1) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
14     by law in the State Housing Board under the Housing
15     Authorities Act.
16         (2) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
17     by law in the State Housing Board under the Housing
18     Cooperation Law.
19         (3) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
20     by law in the State Housing Board under the Housing
21     Development and Construction Act.
22         (4) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
23     by law in the State Housing Board under the Blighted Areas

1     Redevelopment Act of 1947.
2         (5) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
3     by law in the State Housing Board under the Blighted Vacant
4     Areas Development Act of 1949.
5         (6) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
6     by law in the State Housing Board under the Urban Community
7     Conservation Act.
8         (7) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
9     by law in the State Housing Board under the Urban Renewal
10     Consolidation Act of 1961.
11         (8) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
12     by law in the State Housing Board under the Redevelopment
13     Project Rehousing Act.
14         (9) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
15     by law in the State Housing Board under the State Housing
16     Act.
17         (10) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties vested
18     by law in the State Housing Board under the Illinois
19     Housing Development Act.
20         (11) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties which
21     had been vested by law in the Department of Business and
22     Economic Development under Sections 46.7 (renumbered; now
23     Section 605-200 of this Law; 20 ILCS 605/605-200), 46.8
24     (repealed), 46.23 (repealed), and 47.1 (repealed) of the
25     Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, previous to August
26     29, 1969.

1         (12) To exercise the rights, powers, and duties which
2     have been vested by law in the State Housing Board under
3     Section 6b-3 of the State Finance Act.
4      The Department shall render assistance and advice to and
5 take action affecting local governments only upon request of a
6 local government, except as otherwise provided by the powers
7 and duties transferred to the Department by this Section.
