    Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning possession of explosives or explosive or incendiary devices.

1    AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by changing
5Section 20-2 as follows:
 
6    (720 ILCS 5/20-2)  (from Ch. 38, par. 20-2)
7    Sec. 20-2. Possession of explosives or explosive or
8incendiary devices.
9    (a) A person commits the the offense of possession of
10explosives or explosive or incendiary devices in violation of
11this Section when he or she possesses, manufactures or
12transports any explosive compound, timing or detonating device
13for use with any explosive compound or incendiary device and
14either intends to use such explosive or device to commit any
15offense or knows that another intends to use such explosive or
16device to commit a felony.
17    (b) Sentence.
18    Possession of explosives or explosive or incendiary
19devices in violation of this Section is a Class 1 felony for
20which a person, if sentenced to a term of imprisonment, shall
21be sentenced to not less than 4 years and not more than 30
22years.
