1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Probate Act of 1975 is amended by changing
5Section 11a-2 as follows:
 
6    (755 ILCS 5/11a-2)  (from Ch. 110 1/2, par. 11a-2)
7    Sec. 11a-2. "Disabled person" defined.) "Disabled person"
8means a person 18 years or older who (a) because of mental
9deterioration or physical incapacity is not fully able to
10manage his person or estate, or (b) is a person with mental
11illness or a person with a developmental disability and and who
12because of his mental illness or developmental disability is
13not fully able to manage his person or estate, or (c) because
14of gambling, idleness, debauchery or excessive use of
15intoxicants or drugs, so spends or wastes his estate as to
16expose himself or his family to want or suffering, or (d) is
17diagnosed with fetal alcohol syndrome or fetal alcohol effects.
