SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
30 ILCS 105/6c.1  from Ch. 127, par. 142c.1
30 ILCS 105/8.6  from Ch. 127, par. 144.6

    Amends the State Finance Act. Provides that appropriations for the acquisition of motor vehicles for the State vehicle fleet are payable from the State Garage Revolving Fund. Provides that all fees and other money received by the Department of Central Management Services incident to the operation of the State vehicle fleet shall be paid into the State Garage Revolving Fund. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning finance.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by changing
5Sections 6c.1 and 8.6 as follows:
 
6    (30 ILCS 105/6c.1)  (from Ch. 127, par. 142c.1)
7    Sec. 6c.1. All fees and other money received by the
8Department of Central Management Services incident to the
9operation of State garages or the State vehicle fleet shall be
10paid into the State Garage Revolving Fund. Any money received
11by a State agency from a third party as payment for damages to
12or destruction of a State vehicle may be deposited into the
13State Garage Revolving Fund or the fund from which payments
14were made for the purchase of the vehicle; however, the
15Department of Transportation is required to deposit such monies
16into the Road Fund if the damaged vehicle was acquired through
17a Road Fund appropriation.

21of State garages including the servicing and repair of all
22automotive equipment owned or controlled by the State of

1Illinois, the purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and
2accessories for automotive use, the purchase of public
3liability insurance covering drivers of motor vehicles owned or
4controlled by the State of Illinois, and all other expenses
5incident to the operation and maintenance of the State garages
6are payable from the State Garage Revolving Fund.
7Appropriations for the acquisition of motor vehicles for the
8State vehicle fleet are payable from the State Garage Revolving
9Fund. Any money received by a State agency from a third party
10as payment for damages to or destruction of a State vehicle and
11deposited into the State Garage Revolving Fund shall be
12utilized by the Department of Central Management Services for
13the benefit of that agency to repair or replace, in whole or in
14part, the damaged vehicle. All contracts let under the
15provisions of this Act shall be awarded in accordance with the
16applicable requirements of the Illinois Purchasing Act.

18    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
