SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Shirley Joyce Nordigian of Wadsworth, who
4passed away on December 3, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Shirley Nordigian was born on August 24, 1936, in
6North Chicago; she was a lifelong resident of the North Chicago
7area; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Shirley Nordigian was employed in the office of
9Dr. Kweder for 18 years; she was a co-owner of Lanthans Front
10Room in downtown Waukegan; she was also involved in the family
11business, NORSTAN, and served as a corporate secretary; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Shirley Nordigian was a member of St. Paul
13Armenian Apostolic Church, where she served as church
14treasurer; she always prepared Sunday dinner for her family and
15loved to bake; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Shirley Nordigian was preceded in death by her
17husband, Charles Nordigian; her parents, Henry and Doris (nee
18Auger) Korybyski; her sisters, Helen Andrzejewski, Patricia
19Jones, and Paula Mitten; and her son-in-law, Steve Munson; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Shirley Nordigian is survived by her children,

1Ruth Munson, John (Deloris) Nordigian, Mark (Corinne)
2Nordigian, and Matt (Lori) Nordigian; her sister, Donna (Rich)
3Weland; her 16 grandchildren; her 3 great grandchildren; and
4her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7her family and friends, the passing of Shirley Joyce Nordigian;
8and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Shirley Nordigian as an expression
11of our sympathy.
