SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alice Suzanne Goodreau; and
 
4    WHEREAS, She was born in Chicago, the daughter of the late
5Joseph and Mary (Regan) Anlauf; she was a member of St. Thomas
6More Catholic Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and a former
7member of St. Luke Church in River Forest; and
 
8    WHEREAS, She graduated from Chicago Teachers College and
9earned her Masters Degree in Education from the University of
10Nebraska; she had the pleasure to teach elementary school
11education in Madrid, Spain, the United States, and Taipei,
12Taiwan; and
 
13    WHEREAS, She was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, serving during
14World War II; and
 
15    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, James J.
16Goodreau; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Alice Goodreau is survived by her children Dr.
18James J. Goodreau (Susan), Mary Beth Andersen (Donald), Richard
19D. Goodreau, Dr. Joseph F. Goodreau (Diane), and Alice Suzanne
20Meyers (Dr. Steven); her 9 grandchildren; and her 7

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
4her family and friends, the passing of Alice Goodreau; and be
5it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Alice Goodreau as a symbol of our
8sincere sympathy.
