SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harold Wesley Fisher, Sr., who passed
4away on August 5, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Fisher, Sr. was born on February 20, 1930,
6in Waukegan; his parents were David Fisher, Sr. and Alma Fisher
7Harold; he married Ernestine Lewis in May of 1957; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Harold Fisher, Sr. was a graduate of Waukegan High
9School; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Harold Fisher, Sr. served his country with pride
11as a member of the United States Army during the Korean
12Conflict; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Harold Fisher, Sr. retired from US Steel after 30
14years of employment; after his retirement, he was employed with
15the City of North Chicago Streets Department and as a school
16crossing guard; and
 
17    WHEREAS, As an active member of the Rufus Mitchell Lodge
18No. 107, Harold Fisher, Sr. was the recipient of numerous
19awards, including his award in 1992 for his dedicated service
20to Shawall as 2nd Ceremonial Master, his award in 1996 for his

1outstanding service as Senior Deacon, and his award in 2000 for
2outstanding service to Rufus Mitchell Lodge No. 107 as a 33
3Worshipful Master; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Harold Fisher, Sr. was preceded in death by his
5parents; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Harold Fisher, Sr. is survived by his wife,
7Ernestine; his son, Harold, Jr. (Denise); his daughter, Pamela
8Fisher Cowan; his sister, Vera George (James); his brother,
9Ernest Fisher (Betty); and his many special nieces, nephews,
10cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13his family and friends, the passing of Harold Wesley Fisher,
14Sr.; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Harold Fisher, Sr. as an expression
17of our sympathy.
