SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michelle "Mimi" Power of Mechanicsburg,
4who passed away on September 9, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michelle Power was born on October 19, 1957 in
6Springfield; her parents were Roman Peter Dorr, Jr. and Shirley
7Ann Dunham Dorr; she married Dennis W. Power on August 19,
81978; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Michelle Power was a graduate of Christ the King
10School and Sacred Heart Academy and attended Lincoln Land
11Community College; she subsequently earned her bachelor's
12degree in business administration at UIS; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Michelle Power was employed as a finance manager
14for the Regional Superintendent of Schools #51; she was
15formerly employed for Frye-Williamson Press, Inc. for over 25
16years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michelle Power was a member of Christ the King
18Church for many years and a sustaining member of the Junior
19League; she enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with
20family and friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Michelle Power was preceded in death by her
2grandparents; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Michelle Power is survived by her husband, Dennis;
4her daughter, Kelsey L. Power; her son, Dennis W. Power, Jr.;
5her parents, Shirley and Roman Dorr, Jr.; her sister, Carrie L.
6Elliott (Ray Silveri); her brothers, Roman "Pete" (Carol Hayes)
7Dorr III, Joseph G. (Amy) Dorr, and Jeffery P. (Debbie Drennan)
8Dorr; her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and
9her great-niece, Kaelyn Grace; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12her family and friends, the passing of Michelle "Mimi" Power;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Michelle Power as an expression of
16our sympathy.
