SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of John Zeit, who passed away on
4October 17, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Zeit was born on January 20, 1927, in
6Cleveland, Ohio; he graduated from (Case) Western Reserve
7University and served in the U.S. Marine Corp.; he married
8Sally Lou Waterman; and
 
9    WHEREAS, John Zeit worked as an accountant for American
10Steel and Wire in Cleveland, Ohio and Waukegan, the Ozite
11Corporation, and Domino Amjet; he volunteered with Junior
12Achievement, Easter Seals, and United Way; and
 
13    WHEREAS, John Zeit was an active member of Living Faith
14United Methodist Church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and his
16brother, Dr. Paul Zeit; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Zeit is survived by his wife of 64 years,
18Sally Lou; his daughters, Betsy (Paul) Florin, Nancy (Tim
19Wildrick), and Kathy (Wade Christoffel); his grandchildren,
20Tyler (Nancy) Rivera, Max Florin, and Spencer Christoffel; his

1great-grandson, Jack Rivera; his sister, Lois Sturrock; and
2many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5John Zeit, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family,
6friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of John Zeit as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
