SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Andrew Bradie, Jr., who
4passed away on July 23, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. was born on May 15, 1929, to
6Andrew and Sarah Bradie in Memphis, Tennessee; he lived in Fort
7Wayne, Indiana, during his school years and eventually settled
8in Chicago; he married Mary L. Jackson; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. spent 55 years working in the
10parking industry; he began as an attendant and eventually found
11himself opening multiple parking facilities in the midwest and
12setting up systems to create more efficiently and smoothly
13operating parking facilities; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. would spend summers taking his
15family on vacations throughout the United States; he was a
16camera bug and would take pictures of everywhere they went; he
17liked camping, riding motorcycles, horses, grilling, and
18simonizing cars; he enjoyed long drives and short mystery
19novels; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. was preceded in death by his
21son, Keith; his brothers, Israel and Roy; and his

1great-grandchild, Johkye Chase Bradie; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Andrew Bradie, Jr. is survived by his wife of 63
3years, Mary; his children, Dianne and Andrew III; his
4daughters-in-law, Diana and Sylvia; his sister, Sarah; his
5brother, Curvey; his brother-in-law, James McGee (Hazel); his
6grandchildren, Christopher Bradie, Ed.D, Nicole (Anton)
7Braton, Keith Bradie, Jr., and Tiffany (Lloyd) Gregoire Ramsey;
8his great-grandchildren, La'Sha Bradie and Jay Anthony Bradie;
9and many relatives and family friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Andrew Bradie, Jr. and we extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Andrew Bradie, Jr. as an expression
17of our deepest sympathy.
